Recent searches
revealed that Google
has managed to
strengthen its
footing in the search
engine market,
during the first
months of 2012.

Recent research
from comScore is
designed to perform
in-depth analysis on the performance of
the five largest
search engines in the U.S.. Through these
studies that Google
increased its market
share to 66.2 percent
in January, from the
previous year of 65.9
in December.

As proclaimed
ITProPortal, Sunday
(12/02/2012),
Google's closest
competitor in the
competition, namely
Bing, managed to get
only 15.2 percent
market share, which
means increased
only 0.1 percent of
the approximately
15.1 percent in
December .
The report stated
that of the total 17.8
billion Web searches
conducted in the U.S.
during January.
Some 11.8 billion
searches are
conducted only
through Google.
After the creation of
Microsoft Bing, have
market shares in
Yahoo! are only
approximately 14.1
percent. Unlike
Google and Bing, the
performance of
Yahoo in January
decreased 0.4
percent compared to
its position in
December 2011.
While Ask Network
and AOL, according to
comScore, bagged
only 3.0 percent and
1.6 percent market
share respectively
during the month.
